For me, I use this for emergencies, for when the power goes out. I was unprepared for a power outage in the winter time when temps can hit 10 degrees.
We have a Natural Gas furnace that was hard-wired to a simple on/off swtich. That hard-wire now plugs into an outlet with an on/off swtich. Lots of videos on how to do this. When the power goes out, I unplug the furnace cord and plug it into the Deta 2 with the Extra Battery.
Without telling my wife and without lowering the thermostat, I got 23 hours of power for the furnace in middle of winter. Key in mind, the motor on a gas furnace doesn't run 24/7. In the past 10 years, not that many outages and never longer than 6 hours. But never say never, just ask Texas. I also have a 1200 watt inverter for my car to recharge the Deta2, and a small 2400 watt gas generator/inverter. I'm not trying to survive Armageddon, or live off grid, just trying to make it through an outage and staying warm. Peace of mind.

Wish the Delta 2 Max was this price. Same battery capacity in just one unit.

What I found is the 3kwh minimum is a total of all units combined, if smaller, as long as they all where purchased in the same tax year

Great price. Remember when the delta 2+ the non-lfp extra battery for 1049 was front page last year?

Anyone use one of these as a home power bank? Maybe use an adapter for some renergy or other cheap solar panel? How well would daily use be for this? The advertising makes it look amazing

Super interested in this as well. I'd love to have a power bank and a few solar panels to maybe power my router, pc equip and maybe a few light usage things for a few hours in the event of a power outage.

It's huge for the capacity. The delta2max or the bluetti/anker competitors are the same capacity at half the size

Recently bought a Jackery Explorer 1000 on Woot for $479, now considering this deal.

From pure specs, Delta 2 is better. Not sure if they justify the +87% increase in total cost though.

Any thoughts?

I could be wrong, but at 3kwh this might qualify for a 30% tax rebate.

Remember when I paid $1100 for the Delta 2 alone 7 months ago…

…Pepperidge Farms remembers

But seriously about $500 a piece is a better deal… I bought a refurb D2 extra battery for $329 during pres day sale to make up for my buying at retail remorse. I had seen how quickly the prices were dropping since my first purchase, and decided to wait it out for the extra battery.

It's been out less than a year so I wouldn't expect it any time soon. Maybe another year or two assuming prices continue to fall.

Depends on your power needs. Mine has helped me get through several extended power outages (in conjunction with a generator and/or solar panels), but at only 1kWh capacity, one D2 isn't going to last more than a few hours if you start throwing higher draw loads at it like a fridge, desktop PC, etc..

That said, if you have 400W+ of solar power and good sun, it can do quite a lot over the course of a day, including running an AC unit - which would be nice for 'peak shaving' in the summer.
