Show description:
"Counterpart," from creator Justin Marks, MRC, Gilbert Films, and Anonymous Content, is about a mysterious world hidden beneath the surface of our everyday existence. Howard Silk (J.K. Simmons) is a lowly cog in the bureaucratic machinery of a Berlin-based United Nations spy agency. When Howard discovers that his organization safeguards the secret of a crossing into a parallel dimension, he is thrust into a shadow world of intrigue, danger, and double cross… where the only man he can trust is his near-identical counterpart from this parallel world. The show explores themes of identity, fate and lost love, posing the eternal question, "what if our lives could have been different?"

Some unanswered questions yes but the ending definitely worked as a season and series finale. I would have loved a season 3 but thought it was fitting end. This show is a must watch if you like sci-if, mystery, or J.K. Simmons. At $3 it is a no brainer in the extreme.
This was a great show, love J.K. in it. Too bad it's on Microsoft. No way I'm starting another ecosystem for TV shows. Already got Vudu, Apple and Amazon going. Hard enough to track what I got on each already.
It stops und leaves a lot unanswered. Sadly

What appears to be the last S2e10 ep, its info shows, 'Mira's looming threat forges some unlikely alliances.'
Any idea if this series was a hard stop (some still try to end or tie up some loose ends)?

I watch movies on my windows laptop and stream movies from my new xbox to my new 85 inch tv, so have no issue with buying movies through Microsoft. I just purchased this and look forward to watching it.
So I jumped on this good deal before I realized These do not transfer to MA or Vudu.
It is a bit of a pain to deal with all these separate caches of movies/tv Microsoft google apple.. Studios/Vendors.
I try to keep to MA / Vudu; Is there another way to keep track of all the separate caches?

It definitely could have gone either way.
I remember a few episodes in S2 that dragged on a little and it's hard to say whether they were hoping for a season 3.
All I know is JK Simmons needs to avoid Starz and Amazon when it comes to TV projects.

Aside from pirating it after you buy it, not really.
No aggregate service is perfect and the minute you do find one, it gets bought and destroyed.
Plex has some integration for third party services, but it's very underdeveloped.
