That's not to mention the outrageous price for what you get - 7.2kW and 7.2kWh. Another $1kish will get you a 20+kW NG standby generator with 200Amp transfer switch, that will run essentially forever.
Yes I understand these have their place - if you need silent power, and your power demands aren't extreme, these might work, but they're a super pricey solution.

Some benefits of the Delta 2 Max:
-As others may have already said: silent (OK sure, cooling fans if you're cranking the output).
-Can be run inside.
-Can be charged via solar (I have 520W of solar capacity for now, for what it's worth)
In an extended power outage, I can see myself relying on the Hondas during the day, and then using the Delta 2 Max overnight. Zero noise, zero theft potential, I can have it running inside without killing myself. Can run the fridge, router, access points, some lights, etc. overnight, then be charged up during the day.
I'll be expanding my battery capacity, but will probably go with DIY. 48V LFP battery, inverter, etc. You can achieve better Wh/$ doing DIY (sometimes a lot more), compared to EcoFlow or similar all-in-one devices. Maybe not when you're spending $1,000. An EcoFlow device can be simpler and more appealing at that price point. But for the ~$4,000 you'd spend on this deal, you could build a higher capacity DIY system.
For example... ~$2,518 will buy you 2x EG4 48V 100Ah server rack batteries. Total 10.24Wh (versus 7.2kWh from the two Delta Pro's). And you have ~$1,500 left over to buy a nice inverter. For example $1,400 for an EG4 6000XP Off-Grid Inverter (8000W PV Input | 6000W Output | 480V VOC Input | 48V 120/240V Split Phase). Same ~$4,000 for +42% Wh, plus the ability to easily add capacity with other battery brands and types.
Anyway. Plus and minus for both, of course. Those batteries and that inverter have the same 5-year warranty that the Delta Pros do. But the batteries will have a 10 year warranty if paired with a better EG4 inverter. On the other hand, the Delta Pro is "all in one", has a decent phone application, has wheels + handle built in, etc. etc. I see the appeal of that, and have no regrets with my Delta 2 Max. Have already used it once during an outage.

Now I have a Rivian that could supply those essentials if I need more, it's a hassle, but the infrequency makes it more convenient for me.

I have Honda EU2200i and EG2800i generators, but this past Black Friday picked up a Delta 2 Max.

I've got two very similar setups now: Delta 2 + Honda EU2200i, as well as a bigger hybrid inverter paired with a 5kWh Lifepower4 battery (which I would top off with a bigger Firman 4000/3200W dual fuel generator). Both battery/inverter systems have helped me through multiple outages already over the last year.
No regrets on either system.. but I would trade my Delta 2 for a D2 Max if I could.

I live in the Bay Area of California, where our climate is mostly mild, and never would I need power for heat (just put on warm clothing). Our main need in a longer outage is to power our refrigerator. Thus maybe 800-1000 watts of startup, and 150-300 watts for running. Our fridge is new enough that the freezer will stay cold for up to 24 hours, so the fridge part matters. CDC says food is okay for up to 4 hours in the fridge, and 24-48 in the freezer depending on whether full or not.
Most of our outages are between 1 hour and 7 hours. We have maybe 2-3 per year. I've researched but held off on any power replacement options since last time I figured out that if we have an outage, I can run over to the local grocery (which always seems to have power), and buy a few bags of ice or 5-10 lbs of dry ice. Put the dry ice into one of the food drawers, and the fridge will stay cold for a very long time. Ice bags work too, just can make more of a mess.
The only situation I can see having a backup battery or generator would be a long outage of several days. There it might be nice to be able to run a generator every few hours to keep the fridge cold. If I do get a generator it will be a portable 2500-watt dual-fuel unit, and I will run it on propane since that is cleaner and easier, and we always have propane tanks. I frankly don't see a strong need case for any of these solutions since a) worst case we lose some food, and b) we can go to a friend's house or hotel if things stretch out.
Anyway, until batteries come way down in price, running large appliances on them doesn't make much sense. although the tax deduction for 30% of the price (if you get 3000 kwh capacity) does ease the pain a bit.

$4000 for the unit, minus 30% =$2800.
This would pay for 7 times losing $400 of food during a longer outage.
Or it would pay for 7 portable generators.

Roughly $5k total cost. If I can offload my network/server rack which uses 200w I can probably save $100 a month (50 cents a killawatt) with an ROI of 5 years. Plus I get the added bonus of having a battery backup system.
