They are mainly buying it for ad platform to serve more ads to customers.
There are two types of people in this world..... fanboys and not fanboys.
If this Vizio has local dimming, if there is a bright spot (like the Sony logo all in white on a field of black) you'll get white blooming around the logo. Your C1 will just not enable the surrounding pixels and you've got pure black (I know, I know its not off-off depending on your brightness and contrast etc etc). This Vizio or any Local dimming display will never look as POP as that C1.
IF that kind of thing doesn't bother you (like lots of daytime viewing or you're always in a bright room) this is probably OK.
But like someone else said - if you're going to gamble don't get a Vizio. Get a HiSense or TCL.
