Thanks. I did this last year for Pixel 7. I might bite on this again. It won't be quite as good for me as last year though. Last year I had an Xfinity reward for $100 prepaid card when adding a line and $78 shopping portal cash back. I already use Xfinity Mobile by the gig so it was essentially a money maker even after paying $10 activation, sales tax on device, buying a phone number to transfer in, and the roughly $2/month in line taxes for 24 months. This time around I don't have that $100 reward available and the highest portal cash back I'm seeing is only $10. So it'll probably be around $90-100 to me once I add up all the taxes, fees, port in number, etc.

I second this. If you are Xfinity you are essentially getting this for $90-$100 for unlimited talk and text. You should be able to easily sell it back around $150 or use out for trade in

I use Xfinity gig as well. Can I get this promotion by adding a new line but resell the phone (network locked of course) on eBay?

Note that you need to transfer in a line/number to get the promo, not simply add a line. If you don't have one you can buy a new number from somewhere like Number Barn and transfer it in for $7. Otherwise that should work AFAIK with your known caveat that its locked until the phone is paid off. You also need to maintain the line for 2 years to get all the bill credits, but the phone number and device do not need to stay together.

how good is google pixel 8? This is perhaps one of the best offer from Xfinity Mobile for $699 value of smartphone. Usually they only giveaway the basic phones value up to $400. Transferring phone number is easy. just use google voice number which cost only $3 to unlock it.

answered above. If you are already on by-the-gig, then you can just add a line and you will only owe some small taxes/911 fees, etc. for the extra line. For me it is about $2/month, amount differs depending on where you live. After getting the 24 months bill credits I drop the line since I don't actually need it.

I've heard other people say it's possible to transfer the bill credits to a different line and then you transfer the line back out somewhere and then terminate it without needing to keep paying those taxes/fees for 2 years. That seems kinda sketchy/abusive to me though so I don't do that. Deal is good enough for me without needing to try to save $2/month for 2 years minus the port out / terminate fees.

I got the Pixel 7 deal last year. The phone has been sitting in my drawer ever since. I am an Iphone person. So the Google phone is really not used daily. I don't have any interests getting another Pixel phone.
I'm an Android person. Send the phone my way? Smilie
