The word is not here, not on the product page, not in the manual.

It uses a shitty cr2450 battery. Because F you that's why.

They could have used a real battery and it would last for years, but instead you will be replacing a $4-$6 battery every 9-12 months.

Nice price. I have one in my attic to track temperature and see how much my attic fan helps with the ventilation.

Bought two other items on sale. Tried all 3 coupon codes & the BOOM worked. It didn't offer any info about that on the site so try all 3 just in case!

I only need one if I can set Google or Alexa condition to turn on my space heater if temp goes below certain level. But looks like this doesnt offer such feature. This product seem to do it but way more expensive

Anyway to connect this to home network so that can access remotely, out of the residence? Ultimately, wishing to turn on/off heating from an AC plugged heater depending on temperature during any part of 24 hr. The environment is a rented apartment. Thus, don't have any of the modern wifi temperature system e.g. Google Nest, central heating

you'll need to setup home assistant.

bit of a hassle, but worth it.

There're ways. I make a cheap bluetooth-proxy with an esp32 board to add these BLE devices to my Home Assistant.

These Inkbirds don't seem to have any smart or wireless capabilities.

Thanks for the feedback. I am not looking for details, but some broad info. Connect this BT thermometer as well as a heater plugged into a wifi enabled plug e.g. Amazon, TP-Link/Kasa to a Home Assistant system. Then, the heating can be programmed to turn on/off when specific min/max temperature is reported by the thermometer?

Is this Govee thermometer a good candidate for this use with HA?

I have the H5075 one but this one posted here should be similar. Also I have a Govee heater that I added to Homebridge (I didn't find a simple integration in HA so I keep using the one in Homebridge). Once added to Homebridge it showed up with fully function heater with temp control, light/fan speed control etc. I don't recommend plugging a heater to a smart plug as the plug normally not rated for high power drawn appliances.

Here is the HB Govee plugin that I mentioned: https://github.com/bwp91/homebridge-govee#readme

This is on sale for $25 and should do the trick for you. The have larger sizes on sale as well if you search through amazon. Also you can use this advertised hydrometer and pair them together in the app
