The problem with all these overnight oats or ready made fancy oat stuff like this is that it's just too easy and way cheaper to make at home. It takes 0 skill to make overnight oats. It doesn't even take that long either.

I've tried these and find them very unappetizing.

Wonder how much glyphosate remains in this?
The recent issue is Chlormequat. Apparently they can't use it on crops in the U.S., but they started allowing crops that it had been used on in other countries to be imported back around 2017 or 2018 depending on the news article.

I'm not sure these would have that sort of issue, but I personally just switched to Bob's Red Mill after I saw this article.

I'm a big fan of overnight oats. I don't go crazy, just regular rolled oats, splash of vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg.

That's easy enough to make on my own and cheap. I guess reading what people say this stuff is just okay.

I figure this stuff is loaded with sugar like everything else?
Tons of sugar and it tastes AWFUL.

Going through the rebate process for a single cup seems like too much effort for me

I get Quaker Oats Old Fashioned from Costco, put the oats inside the pot with 1 cup of water overnight, then cook it in the morning with milk, 1 egg and smashed banana. No sugar or any other additives.

Dude, it's just oats & water & salt. What would be going bad overnight? I've eaten this for 10+ years now, it is fine.
Man I wish people would stop giving health "advice" and stating it's fact from personal experience. Everyone is different, side effects may be infrequent, and it's dealing with your farking health and one body you have for the rest of your life.

Right, I'm surprised they're actually choosing to call these "overnight oats". The whole point of overnight oats is that they're incredibly cheap and easy to make yourself, and you DON'T have to buy overpriced, plastic-packaged crap like this.

I know, it's crazy that people are paying for this. It's oatmeal and protein powder mixed together. You can't mess up making that and it's obviously way cheaper to buy those 2 products individually and mix them together. They say "save time, it's already mixed". Are people that compressed for time that they can't mix oatmeal and protein powder? It takes 1 minute.

So you leave on the stove overnight? Doesn't it require something (like refrigeration) so it doesn't grow bacteria or mold or whatever?
No, you store in the fridge overnight (where the name comes from).

It's a no-cook method of making oatmeal. So, instead of cooking oatmeal on the stovetop or in the microwave, you soak the raw oats with milk. That soaking process allows the oats to absorb the liquid and soften them enough to eat uncooked.

$2 normal price, obviously a little less at Walmart or if you buy the 14,000-pack from Costco Wink

We love these, but ditto that this is a super easy DIY. Oats, milk, sweetener, some fruit on top. You can control the portions better, too.
some people mentioned they couldnt replicate the same texture from homemade though.
