Agreed but lots of these sizes might not come in "drill bit kits" I think for the price it's worth it considering the brand

Bosch has high quality bits but black oxide coating isn't as good as Ti.

Good deal for spares since most spare sets skip from 1/4 to 5/16

Killer price for black oxide.

Unfortunately, life is too short to not use carbide.

for wood and plastic, oxide steel is perfectly acceptable. I'd agree (or even want cobalt) for metal applications.

EDIT: Ok ok. My bad. "Jobber" means something COMPLETELY different in every other industry. It means someone or something that works "job-to-job". Not as in they move employment, but rather they only look forward one job at a time. Make the sale, buy the parts for that one job, complete said job, look for the next sale. No inventory kept on-hand. So someone might refer to that person as a jobber. OR sometimes parts that are sold in bulk, are bundled together specifically to do one complete install at a time. That would be a jobber pack.

Term has been around for many decades....

"Jobber" means you use a new one every single job. AKA it dulls quickly.
This is absolutely not what "jobber" means in context to drill bits. Jobber is a specific design/size category for drill bits which has nothing to do with the longevity of the bit.

Common drill bit lengths come in stub, jobber, taper, and long. Jobber is one of the most common lengths that you typically find.

Gottem... Black oxide is fine. For wood, these will last forever. For mild steel, use drilling lube for best results.

Looks like most are gone. The only size showing the cheap price now is 5/16

We haven't had a deal on a 55 gallon drum of lube in a while.
