Which windows machine offers this power, portability and efficiency? The M1 is still competitive which was my original point.

Costco had the M2 for $799(although it was last month and no Time Machine yet lol)and refurb M2 excellent for $779 on eBay. Not sure if would say this is a great deal unless you're in the market specifically for this version.

I paid $2300 for my MacBook pro m1.... just because a new chip is out doesn't mean this is useless. I mean you could always buy a windows for $500 or less but I've never seen a MacBook at that price

If I knew how long Apple would continue to update this laptop it would be much easier to make a decision to buy it or not. This laptop might have only two more years of updates before Apple stops supporting this model.
