Is there a similar sale on a version of this guitar without Bigsby?
I follow this market pretty closely. The similar thicker body 2420 (sans Bigsby) was seriously discounted twice in 2023 (early and mid year.) There have been many more frequent discounts on the semi hollow (center block) double cuts in the "Gibson 335" and the "Gibson 339" (junior) sizes; both of which obviously are full size guitars (in the 26xx series.) Both have been offered with/without Bigsby. The 2410s are of more recent origin than are the 2420s and are only configured with a Bigsby. I've never seen a 2410 but it looks like a great guitar. I am thinking about selling my 2655T (new condition) and replacing it with the 2410 for a bit more variety. What's holding me back is the color. I've seen other Gretsch guitars in the single barrel stain and thought they were very attractive. To my eye, this caramel color is not. (I looked at photos/videos from other sources and they all looked similar.)

They just made a shit ton of them in a Korean factory.
I think the 2XXX are China, but I'm not certain.

They are made in Indonesia, at least semi-hollows that were (and some still are) on sale during last year.
Their newer electromatics (5xxx), that were previously made in Korea, are made in China now.

I bought a 2622T (Bigsby) with the BT-2S in December for $50 more and do not regret it one bit. This is a really good price on a really nice guitar. The only difference between this one and the 2622T appears to be single cut vs double cut.

Gretsch models seem to punch above their weight class. If you get one, you will love it.

I'm hoping it's the pics because the single barrel on the solid body streamliners is gorgeous. I fought the urge for days but alas, I caved.

I just got the SBS color one. It is absolutely gorgeous in person. While it's still *brown* it is a much more lively shade than the camera would suggest.

Mine just came yesterday. Oh man, what a guitar! Fretwork is perfect. Near perfect action and intonation out of the box, (triple boxed, by the way). I just lowered the bridge a bit for my setup preference. Sound is very good, a mix between PAF and Gretsch tones.
I love the ability to generate useful, musical feed back at bedroom volumes.
If you're even thinking about a hollow body guitar, buy one at this price. You owe it to yourself!

I received this today and I noticed that a couple of strings (5,6) vibrates (make some noisy sound - probably hitting frets?) when I pluck the strings. Any idea. I am beginner in learning.

What I like about my 2622 is that I do not need an amp for practice. My Strat needs a practice amp. Both play well though a Frontman 10 and a standard fender cable.. You can get bigger and better amps and cables, but you do not *need* it for home use.

Monoprice has a 20 ft blue fabric covered cable on sale for $10. I've used them for the last 10 years or so and they work perfectly and come with a lifetime warranty. For an amp i would suggest a used fender Mustang I or II. They can be had for $50 to $150 used from facebook marketplace or OfferUp.

It looks like this one is out of stock now. I couldn't see this deal lasting for long, since they were closing up the older model year. Happy I jumped on board before they were all gone!
