From my personal experience, I've had good luck with buying from them. Got the xm4 ear buds over a year ago and they still with great. Looked near new when I received them too.

That was my only experience with the seller but I would definitely trust them enough to purchase again in the future.

To be honest, I liked the xm4s better than the 5s. The 5s are very slippery and I'm always dropping them with I put them in or take them out. I feel like they sound basically the same.
I have the WF1000XM3 and XM4 (bought new), but my now 2.5 yr old XM4 don't hold a long charge, which may be due to a firmware update. While the update from XM3 to XM4 were significant, from what I've read the jump from XM4 to XM5 were not as significant. And the I've found the XM4 to be painful during long sessions. So this time around, I bought a new set of Bose Ultra Quiet comfort earbuds that are $50 off -- going back to Bose after using their wired noise cancelling headphones and earbuds over a decade ago. It's missing some features from the Sony set that I like such as multipoint Bluetooth and an audible feedback for taps. But I find the ANC to be superior and sound quality fine for my use , which is mostly podcast listening.

See the last update on the OP regarding the XM5s reportedly having similar issues. I've personally had to replace the batteries in my XM4s 3 times and still seem to have battery issues. I get about 90 minutes out of my right earbud even after replacing the battery only a few months ago, even after updating the firmware.
