It looks like Amazon is charging sales tax based on the price pre coupon. I was charged 16.2% of the final amount.

For long term use preservative free are recommended. They either come in these vials (btw the twist off cap can be plugged back) or in bottles with a special one way nozzle to avoid contamination.

Popular with people who had lasik surgery, lasik doctors only recommend the preservative free drops for a while. They only come in this form for a reason.

I had to use them for months after my lasik surgery. I just got the 100 packs at costco as you'll need at least that many.

If you use 2-4 drops a day you should be able to just use the normal eye drop bottles.

Wasn't it the preservative free drops that were causing the blindnesses a few months ago?

Didn't most eye drops from reputed brands had a major recall a while back. I stopped using eye drops since. Used to use CVS brand earlier.

Since they're preservative free, they need to be individually package by dose to maintain sterility and shelf life.

yes, but of odd brands that no eye docs recommended. Those off brand manufacturers had practices that were not sanitary, which led to serious eye infections. The docs recommend major manufacturers like B&L. CVS brand uses old preservatives like benzalkonium chloride which is irritating to the ocular surface.
