I have had this one since it came out and I am happy with it. The battery lasts a good 6-7 days in airplane mode (i don't keep it connected all the time, sinc with phone once every 2-3 days). The Galaxy 6 does not have as big a battery as the 5 pro so I won't be changing it until Samsung comes up with something new that keeps power for at least 6-7 days.

PS You get the steps count, HR and Sleep track under airplain so you dont have to keep Bluetooth running all day long if not something you need.

I got this generation and I also have the new 6 Classic (with bezel). I actually like the 5 Pro better because it has significantly better battery life. It all depends on what you find important.

Yeah, the 6 Classic has a slightly bigger screen, but the 5 Pro is no slouch.

Something to consider if you wear long sleeve shirts, is that you will have to unbutton your sleeves or take the watch off before putting your shirt on or taking it off, due to the height of the watch.

The watch seems very thick and too big. I have 200 mm wrists and it felt like a clock on my wrist when I tried it on. I really want to get one because it's a nice piece of tech ... is this something you just get used to?

Yes, initially it was big, but after wearing everyday now for more than a year, it is not that big. I play tennis with it also. Great at tracking my work out and best of all the battery life is super great!

FWIW, I came from the 3 classic to the 6. The 3 barely lasted a day while the 6 lasts 1.5 days. This is with AOD off and bluetooth on only, connected to my phone. I like the 5 pro but decided to skip it due to no rotating bezel.

6 is very similar sized. There are 4 different GW6 models.

all are thinner than the 5 pro. (13mm vs 14.4mm) but the LxW dimensions may be larger or smaller depending on the model/screen size.


Annoyingly, all the manufacturer size dimensions for these watches do not include the sensor on the bottom.

Apart from battery, comparing quality + features + physical build etc, how do these 2 watches compare? Battery aside, which one comes out on top "overall"?

If you have a samsung phone, I'd say get this watch. Because they integrates so much better cuz both samsung. Like how apple does with they shit.

I have a Pixel 7 Pro. Based on this information, is the Pixel Watch 2 better? Or can the Watch 5 Pro do everything the pixel can do on android anyways?

I like the Watch 5 Pro because it's more rugged, masculine looking and bigger—also Sapphire is better than Custom 3D Gorilla Glass 5.
