Great price on a solid charger. Got this a month ago for my work desk and it's been able to handle everything I throw it at it (MacBook Air 15", iPad Pro, etc.) — with the added benefit of keeping wires tidy!

Why does Anker fail to carry a proper certificate?

Lot of the recent verified reviews complain that it doesn't last very long.

They're faster, more efficient, and more durable than traditional chargers and the costs to make them are dropping

Bought one of these a year ago as a gift. It's really nice. The price hasn't budged in over a year, figured it would come down over time.

How are they faster just because they are GaN? I get the technology alows us to make them smaller for the same amps and volts but what makes them faster?

This doesn't really answer or offer any strong evidence that they "will be flooding the market soon", such that more reputable devices like this one will drop much further than this.

They've already come down a good deal, and yes more (cheap no-name chinese brands) will gradually flood amazon.. but devices like this can serve specific use cases pretty well and they're as cheap now as they've ever been so why not not go for one that's at least somewhat reputable?

These are nice to keep in/on a nightstand for charging devices. Similar for sit/stand desk setups, you could use one of these on the bottom for display power & device charging to minimize cables to/from the desk.

Pay attention to the power budget/management. This is NOT 2 x 65w. Both C ports can provide 65w but only while using one port. It drops significantly if you use more than one port.

If you want it to maintain a port at 65w while using multiple ports this 100w Baseus model is only $10 more and might fit your power needs better. I have it and it works great.

Wow I'd think these would be cheaper by now, is $40 really that good of a price?

Anyone have any insight on the AC outlets on the back? Is that restricted in any way or is it full pass through? Also, it lists all the short circuit and over current protection, but not really understanding how. I can't tell if that little round thing is a status light or if it's a reset switch in case it trips.

It is just a light as far as I can tell on mine.
