It's because they're doing fine without it. It's how they keep their costs down. They have to pay these certification companies every time they stamp their certification symbol on a product. They are relying on their reputation, which I think is very high. I love their products and have never had a problem with any of them. If they thought it would help their sales and their profits. They probably would but evidently they're doing fine without it. It doesn't make the product inferior or more dangerous. Those certification companies don't care about your safety. They care about their profits. It's a business like any other business. If you pay them, they'll put their stamp on it. I'm sure Anker products meet or exceed safety standards in the United States or they wouldn't be able to sell here.

Generally fair points, but I can tell you that I always sort by most recent verified reviews and this has more of these themed negative ones than would be expected for that rating.

So yes those do mean something. I guess each person can decide how much, and you are deeply discounting it, which is fine.

Fair enough. It's what it means to you as the individual consumer. I just read a lot of reviews and most of the negative are because people don't know how to use something and don't read the instructions or abuse it, or don't even read the specifications and assume things when it's right there. Just too lazy to read. So at 4.7 it's actually probably higher.

Yes absolutely, there are tons of unfair reviews on products too, and that's why I read reviews like this to get a general sense and make a decision on each one on how valid they likely are, and when I start to see themes that tends to take on a little more meaning if it's something that is important to me.

Ignorant or lazy people are very irritating, especially when they are penalizing a good product unfairly. In that same vein, I can't stand when people give something like a one-star review to make a point or be noticed, when it should be a three or four star review. It gets down to the whole fairness of responses that are non-proportional.

will i run into a power issue if i use all 3 outlets 24/7 with one outlet being used by my dell wd19S docking station. 2nd AC outlet is my dell p2422h monitor and 3rd AC outlet is my logitech z207 speakers? (referring to the baseus)

Regarding the Baseus one, I'd be surprised if you'd overload the AC ports but to be sure you can just sum the wattage numbers found on the device labels (or look them up online). According to the specs anything under 1600w is fine, albeit with a blinking light if you go over 650w.

Keep in mind there is a light up button on top that turns off everything (USB and AC). I like it but it could be annoying depending how you set it up.

FYI Makes buzzing noise when fast charging, and the LED cannot be turned off - It can be very bright in a dark room. Also, the base is heavy, but it still tries to fall off of a side table and tilt up etc.

I have one and those are my 3 complaints.

Other than that, works well.
