Walmart one has the omnivore plate which is supposed to be more efficient. Something about better wind blocks and a different surface. According to a few folks on Reddit who have owned both, they don't notice any difference. Costco does also have it's great return policy.

Double check the Walmart version. I've heard it has HALF the BTU's as this one

Are there any "tricks" to determining if these are in stock at a local Costco? We have two Costcos within 5 miles, but it's 5 miles in opposite directions and both are in busy areas. If I can narrow down if either even carries it in store that would be great. I have tried using instacart to see if it shows items can be delivered, but they don't exactly tell you which store it's coming from and I have noticed some larger items aren't even listed that I know are in stock.

Just FYI... was in Sams Club the other day and they had their Member's Mark 36 inch 4 burner cast iron griddle on clearance for $199. Not sure if it was only that store or nationwide..

Get the item number, call in, press one to speak to administrative office. They're usually good about seeing if they have an item in stock. Most will even put it aside if you're coming in same day.

If you're worried about someone at the store buying it, you can also do chat support on their website and they can look it up for you.
