Just confirmed with iTunes the full show is HD but you get the combined HD episodes and the SD episode is still available to purchase. So for the Guru/Crossroads of Destiny you get the 40 min HD combined episodes but the SD 20 min Crossroads of Destiny episode is still available to purchase. It's quite confusing but at least you get the full set in HD.

Can someone confirm that buying this bundle with iTunes doesn't give you Korra In HD? I would expect it to give ATLAB in SD and Korra in HD.

According to the "More Info" section of Vudu, the bundle includes media in 480p and 1080p. The original ATLAB is almost certainly in 480p and Korra in 1080p. I'd expect it to be the same on iTunes.

EDIT: If you click into the individual season of ATLAB it shows the quality in HDX, so I stand corrected. Don't really understand why the quality varies between the two platforms

Vudu likes to bundle SD/HDX. I'm tempted to get this

Edit: Both are showing HDX in Vudu after purchase. It shows the lower quality options if your internet cannot support higher rates. I notice this on 4K/UHD films. Bundles with varying quality are listed at the lowest format included but may also include everything at the lowest quality so be aware it's not the best.

My library is primarily in iTunes, so I was interested in getting this there. But inspecting the episodes of ALTA in the Apple TV app, I see that some episodes are in HD and some in SD. Researching this a bit it seems that when they remastered ATLA they combined some of the multi-part episodes into a single episode. Of episodes that are combined, on iTunes the first is badged as HD and the the subsequent are badged as SD. Examples are the three part finale as well as The Guru/Crossroads of Destiny. Users from a couple of months ago reported that in the ATLA+Korra combined bundle it was all SD, despite what I see listed in the Apple TV app right now. But even looking at the not-Korra-bundled ALTA complete collection, the case above is still true and the HD badges look identical per episode. Are the SD listed episodes actually in SD? Idk.

Given what you said about all episodes being in HDX on Vudu, it seems that may be the best choice even for those of us who primarily use iTunes, because at least we know we're going to get all of the remastered HD episodes.

There does seem to be 4 episodes listed at 47min (1 last episode at 93min)

If that helps

This is a great deal. I would be all over this if I did not have them. Too bad my ATLA was SD when that was all they had when it initially was offered.

It's also available on iTunes for the same price. HD and SD pros and cons noted in other posts.

I can't stand Kora. I just bought the ATLA box set on iTunes for $20 instead, save $10 on a series I didn't liked nor will rewatch.

I've never seen the animated series, but I was not impressed by the live action adaptation. The story and dialogue are fine, but I am completely shocked they couldn't find better actors, mostly the children. All of the adult performances were fine, but it features some of the absolute worst acting chops I've ever seen in a really expensive production. Just think Hayden Christensen in Attack of the Clones.

So do you own these forever or are you just licensing the ability to watch them for however long Vudu and or the Nick license is valid for/in service? Cause buying digital goods can very easily be taken away with no refund.

As with everything else on Vudu (I'm 99.9% sure), you do not own these. Outside of some random, fringe, non-mainstream sources; almost every digital movie/tv show has DRM on it that prevents the buyer from being able to make a (non-trivial) backup. This is the unfortunate reality 😕
