Just confirmed with iTunes the full show is HD but you get the combined HD episodes and the SD episode is still available to purchase. So for the Guru/Crossroads of Destiny you get the 40 min HD combined episodes but the SD 20 min Crossroads of Destiny episode is still available to purchase. It's quite confusing but at least you get the full set in HD.

I bought them on DVD, I bought them on Bluray, and by George, now I've bought it on digital. Go ahead Nickelodeon... Put it out in remastered 4K and I'll buy it again. Just take my money...

Great price for the entire series! Probably the best I've ever seen.

I have always been tempted about purchasing this series, but having watched it in Spanish for the first time makes me biased about not having audio in other languages but only English. I don't mind watching it with English audio but just feel that my kids also had the option to choose our other language is the right thing. Otherwise I will just keep watching it on Netflix. Does anyone know why Nickelodeon omits other languages in all of their shows in all platforms? Have the same issue with TMNT and even Blue's clues, they only give you English audio

I can't stand Kora. I just bought the ATLA box set on iTunes for $20 instead, save $10 on a series I didn't liked nor will rewatch.

The original is head and shoulders above, no doubt. But Korra was ok until the very end where they decided to shoehorn in The Message.

Lol skip it. My advice. And just rewatch the cartoon.

Honestly? I enjoyed it quite a quite. While the overall runtime of the 8 episodes isn't much less than the 20 episode Book One of the original animation, it still felt condensed and rushed. I liked most (but not all) of the casting choices, especially Aang and Uncle Iroh. I especially liked the design of Aang's tattoos. It's not actually flat, there's lots of detail if you look closely. The show is pretty serious which sometimes clashes with the more vibrant colors of the outfits and world in general. Most of the complaints I've read about are either minor (in my opinion) or can be viewed differently (Aang isn't flying in the beginning. He's "falling with style" LOL). My personal complaint is that one character has a really bad wig...don't wanna spoil it by saying who. Just that, while it looks accurate to the animation, it doesn't look great in live-action. This is the single area where the live-action movie did it better...blasphemous I know!

Is it better than the original animation? No, but that's not the point. This Netflix live-action show is for people who, for one reason or another, will never watch anything animated. For them, this is how they will be able to enjoy this universe.

Not having seen the original cartoon and just the terrible movie version, I loved the current Netflix series including the casting, special effects, and story line (except for the final episode). I really hope they make a second season.

I started watching the cartoon version, but don't feel a connection with the characters as I did with the ones in the Netflix series. But both the series and cartoon are tons better than the movie version with miscast characters, poor dialogue, and a weak presentation of the story line.

It seems to be very polarizing among critics, some love and others hate it.

My opinion is that it seems much of the dialogue is forced in many scenes and some of the actors were horribly cast. It is however almost a list of "whos who" of Asian actors/actresses as far as the adults go, almost every one of them you have seen in something else and recognize immediately.

The kids tho...my god the kids were insufferable. Azula being one of the worst. But this is just my opinion.

Special effects were pretty decent though.
