Need an @edu email address, otherwise the 75" is $1999.99. I was able to chat with customer service and get an extra $200 off referral code (others report receiving an extra 10% discount), free bezel, free installation (they offered free install OR free 2 years Samsung Care+) for a total price of $1,599.99 before tax.

I chatted to ask for a free bezel for the 55...the agent asked me what color but then said he couldn't do it (regardless of color).
I got the 55" with 2 years of free Samsung Care+ and free "white glove" delivery for $899.99 - 10% off - $50 referral discount.

Got 10% off and free install from chatting with the agent. Discount definitely not as good as the 65" but we were only looking for either the 50" or 55" so this works for us.
I am in the same boat as far as size and went with the 55. I couldn't pass up the better refresh rate and sound that comes with the 55 but not the 50.
I am wondering the same about the extended coverage (care+ versus allstate at say, Costco or BJs).
I have two options:
1. Buy 55" through Samsung and pay 804.99 before tax (after all applicable discounts, no epp for me). This includes free care+ for years 2 and 3.
2. Buy through Costco or BJs and pay 999.99 and get 5 years of coverage (Club for year 2 and Allstate for years 3-5).
I have a citi rewards+ card that will add two years onto either option.
My decision really comes down to saving $200 through Samsung but losing two years of coverage. I am leaning toward that option but am concerned about whether Allstate is more reliable than care+.

Check that CITI card's benefits - I think I read somewhere that they made some changes to extended coverage, but I can be wrong.
