Carbon fiber is fine as long as you're not diving the ocean depths with it 😂

I have been looking into these for my 1.5 years old kid. Although I do agree they are pretty young to learn anything at this point but the kid is very much into guitar, mostly just copying me so anytime I try to play the kid will all over the guitar trying to mess with strings and stuff. I got them toy guitar but they threw it away and want the real thing. I have been looking into these carbon fiber ones as I think they might survive the dropping and banging. Will they?

If you want to overthink it, I'd get a guitar that looks like yours at 1/4 size so that your kid really can mirror you and damn the possible damage. Whatever it takes to get them to enjoy it. My kid's first guitar was a Chiquita by Erlewine. It's 19" scale length and a real electric with real humbuckers and designed by Billy Gibbons. Super easy to play. Figured I could sell it if he didn't stick with it. He played that thing till he upgraded at 12.
My point is I support you trying to encourage your kid to play and trying to make it easier will help.
Look into concert size ukuleles from brands such as Lanikai, Kala, Luna, or Mitchell. Won't break the bank and you can always resell it (or try it out yourself) if it doesn't work out.
