Of course, if you live up in these cold places, you probably should buy a better jacket than an $8 Walmart puffer coat with cheap and thin nylon insulation as your winter jacket. I wear these types of coats all the time since they are light, generally packable and can be fairly warm if manufactured with a substantial fill of a quality material. The worst thing about these types of jackets is that they tear super easy if you scrap against anything even remotely sharp.
