If you need something a lot harder & more outdoor-friendly, try Durham's ('rock hard') water putty, but beware it's MUCH harder to sand/shape after it fully dries https://www.homedepot.c
Honestly though for patching drywall I like to just keep a bag of dry drywall joint compound and mix whatever small quantity I need for a patch job - one bag lasts forever because there's nothing to dry or go bad. Wet spackle tubs suck for shelf life / successive uses.
