You won't be able to hook up a USB-C monitor with a single cable. Not suitable for displayport alt mode or hdmi-over-usb-c.
You can use them for regular data just fine, it just won't be blindingly fast.
edit: I would buy more at this price without thinking, but I've color-coded cabling for the fam. USB-C in house is blue. The blues aren't on sale.
