At year 3, the resin band cracked. I replaced it with a nylon 5-ring Zulu band.
At year 9, I lost and replaced a spring bar.
At year 10, I ripped a spring bar out of the lugs, leaving grooves which prevent replacement spring bars from having sufficient engagement. I drilled through-holes in the lugs and used stainless steel 18awg wire ("bailing wire", "mechanic's wire") to make a loop for the band.
