It's not nonsense.
Pitching distance for Little League is 46' and you can have prepubescent boys playing against boys like my son @ 12 who had hit puberty and was close to 6' tall.

The exit velos can put kids at a safety risk.
Different rules, different leagues for a reason.
I watched a boy last year have his facial bones shattered by taking a ball in the face. He shouldn't have been playing at that level, but the program wasn't turning down the $ and the parents were not realistic about his abilities and the risks.

USSSA bats have much higher exit velocities (trampoline effect). You can watch the batbros on YouTube to see the comparison.
USA & BBCOR bats are regulated to be similar to wood bats, thus much safer for certain levels of play.

If my son was pitching in 6th grade against an 8th grader who stayed back a year and had a mustache you better believe I wanted to see the BBCOR logo on the bat.

Little league requires USA stamp - this is USSSA bat,so yes, it's illegal to use it. USSSA bats have way more exit velo than USA bat and not safe for little league kids. little league needs to have USA stamp and 2 5/8" barrel max.

For 90% of kids, you're better off spending $100 on good lessons, and $30 on a lightly used bat on facebook market.

My eight year old son was playing little league with a Marucci Pastime Cat Connect. This bat sounded different than the other kids bats. My son was cranking them.

During tournament play an opposing coach called "bat check" on my son.
I don't believe these Cat bats have the USA logo.
My son was called out and wasn't allowed to use this bat again.
Other parents started frowning on me as they believed I knew I was cheating.

Cool story, but you are kind of to blame only USA bats at 8 yr level this is a USSSA bat. You can probably use it when he is 9. So its good to go in the fall.

Incredible deals here. These bats are fire and they are some of if not the most durable on the market!

edit: I know see the 'senior league' bats are USSSA.

This can be confusing for new baseball parents, surprised his coach didn't catch it before the other one did.

This post makes me not want to have kids. Sports parents are the worst. That said, you should know the equipment rules for your league. But it's not as if your son accidentally using the wrong bat is going to stop their kids from making the major leagues or something. It's all nonsense. Maybe I'll just get another dog instead

Getting it for home defense after reading this thread about excellent exit velocity.

Also note that since it's clearance, if you warranty this bat in 10 months they could give you a newer model.
Warrantied a Marruci composite -10 bat last season, and they emailed me asking if I wanted a past time -8. I got it.
Son (11u last year) loved it (30/22) but it did shatter after about 7 months.

You mean like using them instead of bars on your windows?

If you are really good at baseball you can maybe hit the bullet back, but you can find cheaper protection bats. Not sure if you are hitting spiders or wasps with it either.
