Also I heard when you have mlb tv, your local teams aren't available. Is that true? That's pretty annoying. Example if you are from California and have tmobile and claim this code, you can't watch the dodgers, giants and all the California teams? The same with if say you are from New York and can't watch the Yankees? The same with if you in Florida, no Tampa Bay and other teams?

However, since I would be abroad outside the US, are there any restrictions? Or no teams where that t mobile account state is in games regardless of where you are located? What if you are traveling to another state then? Say you are Idaho. Still no home state teams?
I'm near the LA market and last season I could not watch the Dodgers or the Angels via T-Mobile MLB.tv without a VPN (I used a server in Canada.)

So it's understood, the codes won't even be pushed to T-Mobile customers until Tuesday March 26th, when T-Life (formerly T-Mobile Tuesdays) puts out its weekly perks. So anybody who is promising that the codes can be delivered before that date is misinformed, a liar, and/or a scammer.

MLB blacks out what they consider to be local market games. In Los Angeles, that's naturally going to be the two teams you mentioned. In some other areas, as many as six teams can be blacked out, and in some remote areas, teams over 500 miles away can be blacked out (for example, the state of Alaska is considered to be in Seattle Mariners territory).

What vpn do you use? I assume a paid one? Can you use a freevpn? I use the free vpn in chrome... would that work?

Okay so if you were traveling to another state for a short while, let say Idaho and there is no mlb team there. Does that mean whether using internet there at a person's house or hotel or using your phone data to watch it, well the ip address will be in Idaho and thus no restrictions at all?

What do people use multiple codes for? Multiple households /family members?

Was wondering the same thing. Can you not log into the same account if you are in the same house? Like my spouse and I have 2 iPads, 2 iPhones, 2 smart TVs. Not that she wants to but couldn't we both use the same account on 2 different devices?

Not saying it's the case for the person you replied to but on this sub wouldn't surprise me if people are trying to trade for a $5 card then regrade for something more.

Looks like people with old plans now don't get MLB for free. It's ok it I never used it because it was always blacked out games. Tired of MLB and there blackout restrictions. I don't travel enough to even use it or have a need to.

Are you saying that you can't reuse an existing account with this year's code or something else?

From other comments it sounds like some older T-Mobile plans that were eligible last year are not eligible this year.

the ad just says qualified plans. They aren't specific, but my bet it they are saying if you have some strange plan you won't get it. However they have never gone after grandfathered plans before, and I doubt they will start now... not if they want to keep their customers.
