Do this every year. Best promo of all!
This has already been pointed out by numerous others on this thread. I'm sure that some boneheaded person will think it is a good idea to reach out to MLB.TV to verify it. DO NOT CONTACT MLB.TV. Assuming this is an error, contacting them will guarantee that it gets fixed and ruin it for everyone here who got a 2023 subscription.
It's not available until 3/26. You should be able to see the announcment in the T-Life app by scrolling down to and tapping on "What's new" on the Home tab.

It's a bit silly that this thread is front page news a month ahead of the offer's availability.

If I get a code from someone, can I set up the account and redeem the code myself as someone said here ( just like atom movie code, etc) or do I need to share my mlb account details to the code provider to set it up using their t-mobile phone ?

Can someone knowledgeable confirm as I see both opinions being said here. I wonder just getting a code is enough or not
I 1000% temporarily changed my mlb password for the 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons for the person trading the code to redeem it.

2020:
"Yes I have. You will have to send your account info so that I can login and redeem for you. You can reset password once I redeem."

2022:

"If you have an existing account, you can change your password to a temporary one before sharing with me. [..] I redeemed the promo on my phone via tmobile and logged onto my tablet on home wifi. please let me know if there's any issues."

2023:

"well what I've been doing is people would send me their mlb.tv accounts with changed passwords, id activate it on t-mobile network and report back"

In 2020, when I clicked a link that the person sent me to redeem their code, it told me to download a mlb .app in Apple store and return to the tmobile tuesdays app and tap the redeem button." I don't have an apple phone nor a t mobile account, so obviously that was not going to happen..

If there is a method to avoid all of that nonsense, it would be nice if people explained how to actually do that rather than just downvote and say that it's possible.

If I simply get a working code, will I able to redeem it ?
(Assume, I am not sharing mlb credentials to them)

(Or should I give them my mlb credentials.. is that the only way ? I read a workaround: that you need to paste the link on a browser replacing the redeem code in web url, which will take you to mlb login page where you can enter your credentials!!… will this work ? )

Also, should the person giving me the code has to have the mlb account being used in their T-Mobile ? I read somewhere, T-Mobile might block mlb account if they found mlb being used in another network mostly…

not sure any of this is true or false, as I am just gathering information.

The intent wasn't to profit off a code that is otherwise useless to you. Not sure why so many want to offer more than the max that can be asked for, but good for those who are wanting to unload them I suppose.
No one is talking about some insane profit making like an A/C repair man in the middle of a heat wave. These codes go for MUCH higher on eBay and other places - MUCH Higher...

But, if a SlickDeal Members wants to offer a code, to a fellow SlickDealer here that is worth north of $100, there should be a bit more consideration than the pennies on the dollar that is being forced here, especially in the light of inflation.

Again, I'm just asking SD Mgmt. to consider raising the limit. $5 was fine a few years ago....but now, it's pretty low in light of inflation. It's just an ask - putting the idea out there. I'm sure it will be increased at some point...$5 is too low these days.

While I can go to eBay and sell for more, including the eBay fee - I'd rather share with those here as I, like others, have benefited greatly from this combined audience through the years.

In past years, you have absolutely been able to redeem the code yourself without a T-Mobile account. There has been some confusion, which largely seems to stem from iPhones, which try to open the app to pass the code off immediately. There were some issues last year and most seemed to be from people unfamiliar with the process using an iPhone. If not familiar with it, using an android device to retrieve the code originally may be easier. And also, if you get a code and want to redeem it, you may want to use an iPad / tablet / laptop on WiFi or even a phone connected to Wi-Fi only for the activation process, as redeeming it through WiFi has always worked without a problem in the past (cell service connection can be disabled temporarily if in doubt.) Below is one of the mentions of the quirky issues with getting the code via iPhone …

Also, it's usually best to keep an eye on the Wiki for updates on issues that may crop up. They will often be addressed there and trying to keep up with the whole thread in real-time will become pretty crazy for a while once it goes live.

Does anyone know if T-Mo MVNO networks count for T-Mobile or are they also considered not T-Mobile?

You should know if you have T Mobile Tuesdays or not, this isn't something that someone else can answer for you. Any MVNO on a T Mobile network that is not owned by T Mobile almost certainly does not have the T Mobile Tuesdays perk, The ones owned by T Mobile (E.g. Metro) - perhaps do, but again that would be something that those subscribers should know. I do know that people with T Mobile Home Internet get T Mobile Tuesdays.

I had no idea people sell these on ebay. I've always paid $5. I wouldn't care too much if I have to pay $10, but don't see a reason to pay $10 when people are happy to get $5 for it.

Trade prices definitely vary. Some will be going for $5 and some will be going for $10/$15/$20. Once the deal goes live, the codes going for $5 tend to get snapped up really quickly (it's been mentioned in past threads that some people grab up as many cheap ones as they can to resell on eBay or other trading sites for $20+). And the buyers offering $15-$20 also usually get hooked up pretty quickly on the other side of things. The thread will be a real mad-house and picking one up for $5 will probably take some good timing unless you've already got a trade lined up. And as a seller, getting the really high prices will take some good timing and fast messaging as well. That's why a lot of people tend to settle for an arranged trade somewhere in the middle ground and not have to trudge through the thread on drop-day.
