I have done these for years now on here. I seen over the past people not do it right. Sometimes the people send links that do not work. So i am going to be trading accounts away.

I will make the account give the person the full info and then they can change the password etc email or whatever they want to do. But i have found this is the best way to not get screwed.

I will be taking offers for them i should have around 4
As you pointed out, I've read that signing up for the account ourself and then giving the username/password to the person is the safest method?

However, if the user wanted to change their credentials (username, password, email address) wouldn't they need the original email address to do this? So would a username/password/email address generate an email to the original email used to signup and then we would have to confirm this change for the person?

When I did this last year, I created an email (which was the login for the MLB acct)/password and forwarded it to the buyer. He then changed the login to his own email/password and let me know when he was done.

What's the proper way to give the code to someone?

I've read some people had issues sending the redemption link to people where the link didn't work.

Is it better to redeem with a username/password ourself and then just give the person the username/password?

But then if they want to change the password afterwords, wouldn't they need the original email that the account was signed up with?
Basically, it comes down to what users are comfortable with. Plenty of people have traded codes / links successfully with no shared logins, but it does introduce some possible complications. If I recall correctly, one of the biggest issues with bungled codes was a result of people who clicked redeem from an iPhone and accidentally linked the code to their own account or something like that (or possibly even double-redeemed multiple codes on the same MLB account). iPhones launch the MLB app automatically and it can lead to some quirky issues for those unfamiliar with doing it that way.

Looking for one code, will exchange for $5 AGC. In the past, I set my mlb.tv account with a dummy password and the other person activated from my account. Happy to do that again this year.

Looking for a code, will offer $5 AGC in trade. Will mark as pending when this is not available.

Prefer to do the dummy password method... have done this for a few years.

I have received links from people for 4 years in a row now. The best way to receive a link is to login to your MLB account first ON A COMPUTER. Then, click the link that has been sent to you and bam...easy! Has worked every time. I purchase 3 codes every year with no issues. (BTW...I'm looking for 3 this year if anyone has them...PM me...AGC in exchange! Will take 3 codes for a total of $25 AGC!!)

This is how it's done. Or one sure way I guess. I've used my personal account several years in a row like this.

Yep, I've also sent links / codes in previous years and never had an issue with others redeeming them either. And yes, I also usually recommend that people redeem the code from a computer / iPad / tablet connected to a Wi-Fi internet connection and already logged in to their MLB account. (I've also redeemed a copied code that way from an iPad on Wi-Fi with no problems).

I believe that I've also seen someone have a problem in a previous year where they went to redeem a code from an iPhone on a non-TMo carrier and it gave an issue looking for a TMo cell connection or something like that, so that's why I feel it's a good idea to steer clear of trying to redeem them from a cell connection (unless redeeming your own code from an actual TMo line)
