You are probably SOL on this deal unless there is a Menards near you.

Menards is a home improvement store common in the Midwest. You will only get the best price if you drive to the store and take it off the shelf. Use the Inventory Checker [menards.com] to see if there is a Menard's near you that has them in stock.
  • For the best price, walk in and buy off the shelf. Online ordering with pickup, delivery, or shipping is available, but it costs extra.
  • 11% rebate is in Menard's store credit, not cash. It's 18.5 cents a pod even without the rebate, so a spectacular deal even without it.
  • No limit - buy as many boxes as you want. My local store has over 200 on the shelf.
  • My two crates have an expiration date of 6/2/25. Since Menard's says this a clearance deal, I'm thinking they are probably all around that.
My Review:
If you are a coffee snob, you won't like these. If you just want a cup of joe, they are just fine.

I have personally bought 200 of these pods and drank nearly 100 of them. I am considering buying more. They are basically what you would expect, a generic medium roast. Not the highest quality, a little weak, but not bitter or nasty. I haven't had any pod-quality issues like leaks or blowouts.

The main photo was brewed in my K-Express machine at the 8-oz setting recommended on the package into a clear glass so you can judge darkness. Adjusted to make it look about right - for comparison, the backdrop is generic white paper towel. I tweaked the white balance to try and make the image as "true" as I could, but I'm no photo-retouching expert. Personally I think it looks a little lighter in real life than in the photo, but the towel looks right, and I don't know how to fix the glass reflection of the tablecloth.

QA note: price is $18.50 plus 11% back in the form of a store rebate

I'm trying to think of an excuse to go the 45 miles to my Menards. BTW, one of the best posts I've read on here!

Thank you. Not sure about the economy of blowing 3+ gallons of gas to get this deal - hope you have a better reason to go to Menards or are buying a LOT of pods.

If you were to actually do that, I'd recommend an online order for pickup. The pikers will charge you a small fee (which I think is ridiculous for a pickup order), but at least you would be guaranteed they'll be there when you get there.

Also, love the cat avatar.

Still good two weeks later.

My local Menards has 124 in stock.

Good thing - I've almost made it through my second case of 100.
