Some folks prefer a Castrol, Mobile, Pennzoil… etc. I'm not saying these brands are any better than HighlineWarren, but if you compare the material safety data sheets, some of them have a more robust additive package and/or use a higher quality base oil.
At the end of the day it's your choice what you put into your car. To each their own.

Kirkland is currently $20 for a 5qt jug and you have to buy at least 2. Furthermore, as discussed many times on SD, Kirkland motor oil is manufactured by HighlineWarren. This is the same oil as Walmart's in house brand, Supertech, which goes for $19.
