Is this what you'd use for drywall? Or just a jabsaw is good enough? I'm trying to add more outlets and need to access the drywall hidden behind the baseboards. I probably have to cut across several studs

Will these work on exhaust pipe metal? Asking for a friend…

😂
This kit has 16 metal cutting blades and 3 wood cutting blades, so yes the metal blades will cut thru exhaust pipes. I have cut thru a number of exhaust pipes and the problem that arises with any reciprocating tool, whether a jigsaw or a sawzall, is that the reciprocating action causes the pipe to bounce back and forth which makes cutting very difficult and will break the blade. It is much easier, quicker, and neater to use a rotary tool with either a diamond or abrasive circular blade.

bi-metal blades can cut cast iron, but the kicker is the carbide blade. Should make quick work out of cast iron.

I normally use an oscillating tool for drywall for precise cuts, but I don't see why this wouldn't work. A jab saw is also ok.

Assuming you don't want to cut through the studs and just want to cut drywall, a reciprocating saw will be awkward to control. The shortest blade in this set is 6in and a wall cavity is 3.5 in deep usually. You'll run the risk of cutting both sides of the wall.
I would use a jab saw or oscillating saw and drill holes in the studs to run the cable. You may be able to do it at the bottom of the wall so the baseboard molding covers it. That will means patching and painting work.

Eh.. No case = no thx
If it's your first blade kit, I agree that a case is a dealbreaker. If you're restocking on blades, then the case is a waste. Pick what's best for where you are at in your journey.

I don't think they use reciprocating saw. It's too big and bulky and too long. They use a cut off tool for small and versatility.
He was making a joke about stealing catalytic converters 🙄

This are too long for a wall, I'd use a jab saw. If you want a power tool, use a oscillating/multi-tool

More blades than the HF Hercules kit + a carbide blade at the same price. I'm sure there will be an increase in missing catalytic converters.

Most likely going to need these this season. Don't need em often but when you do it pays to have plenty.

Great deal I couldn't pass up! I thrashed my original set on our deck that I demo'd and rebuilt, plus had $12.99 in PayPal cash back, so came out less than $10 out of pocket after tax!
