I bought them during the last deal (same price). I'm really liking the Spatial Audio feature; at first they sounded "weird" as I was used to regular stereo sound, but now I leave it on for Stereo and Multi channel tracks.

Likewise, replacing a gen 1 pair that developed a noise cancelling mic issue. When I first bought the gen 1's I listened to more Spatial/ATMOS tracks than I do now. The quality of the Spatial Audio experience is pretty variably, dependent on the quality of the mix. Especially for older recordings--where Spatial/ATMOS wasn't even a concept--or newer tracks that aren't mixed well, Spatial Audio can end up sounding thin and hollow. But when a track or album is mixed well, it does sound pretty great.

Relative to the Gen 1's, the case upgrades with better Find My and the speaker for helping to locate them are pretty nice. Volume adjustment by sliding on the stems is handy. Conversational Awareness had a wow-factor, but ultimately I turned it off. It turned the volume down more often than I would prefer, it was less annoying than muting it myself. Adaptive Audio is good--not perfect, but I eventually did change from my previous behavior of usually using them in Transparency mode to now leaving them in Adaptive Audio mode.

Overall I'm happy with the upgrades, though none of the improvements were must-haves relative to the Gen 1's. If not for the mic issue which caused popping in one Airpod Pro in Transparency mode I would have been happy continuing to use those.

I've tried Ankers P3s and my wife's AirPod Pros, I'd take the Ankers for 75% less. My kid's $50 pair has all the same features like transparency, NC and my iPhone connects automatically (unlike older Ankers).

Pretty sure budget ones don't have active noise cancellation though.

Tried to price match at target but no dice as it's a package and they won't do it. So I returned and headed to Costco now. Thanks OP

The gen2 active noise cancelling is significantly better than gen1. You can use these without music as earplugs (not equivalent to the high db ear plugs though) but it does disconnect and reconnect occasionally as it goes to sleep mode due to lack of audio signal but quickly turns back on.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

don't forget, Airpods do not fall under Costco's "large electronics 90 day" return policy. This item is treated as any other item at Costco. Why i chose to purchase mine there instead of the $190 deal elsewhere.

Also a real key here is the Apple Care. I had bought my Airpods Pro from Walmart a while back because of a slick deal and no apple care. They needed to be replaced 4 times during the 1 year warranty as they failed tests every time I took them into the apple store. They then failed again right after the warranty period expired and Apple wanted to charge me $89 per airpod to replace, mind you they were both busted. So irritated with this pricing for a warranty replacement.

These are by far the best earbuds in the consumer grade that I have tried and I love them. I'm just having a hard time swallowing another $200 pill. So for those looking at these deals, 100% make sure you get the apple care for the extended period. THESE DO AND WILL FAIL.

Got these about 2 weeks ago for this price. Nothing super special but around regular Costco sale price.

Worth every penny especially now that you got a built in AirTag
Total game changer. Lost one bud and was able to track it and play a sound. Based on the time I saved, no regrets.

Other companies are incorporating Tile in their headphones for 70% less in price.
