Walmart 3rd generation $149.00. Add 3 yr protection warranty for $19.96. Not sure if that even compares to the AppleCare+.

How is the applecare applied to the new buds? I see on the costco receipt to "Please keep this receipt, it confirms your purchase of Applecare+....".

Am I supposed to bring this archived costco receipt to AppleStore if I need support?

For me it already knew I had 2 years Apple care the first time I connected them to my iPhone.

That price is for the model with the lightning connector. This one is the newest one with the USB-C connector. They do have the USB-C connector model for $195 though, but that doesn't include AppleCare+ if you care for that. You also can't return headphones at Micro Center unless they are defective (per their return policy)

Once you activate/Pair the AirPods it automatically starts the AppleCare, it is tied to your serial numbers. Apple should be able to see those pair of AirPods and Case have AppleCare. It will also show the end date of the AppleCare+ on your phone in the AirPod info screen.

Just make sure you check the expiration date of the AppleCare+ on your phone to make sure it is correct and you're getting at least the 2 years. For some reason a lot of people, if not everyone, who purchased these in November when they had this deal at first got an expiration date for AppleCare of February 2026, so they got a few extra months.

I know there are issues with the regular 1 year warranty on MacBooks purchased at Costco from what I've read and experienced. I had to call Apple to get the warranty date expiration corrected for the MacBook we got my wife from Costco. Needed to email them a copy of the purchase receipt to show proof of when I purchased.

I have used a variety of versions of Samsung, Jabra, and Anker Earbuds, and without any doubt, Apple's is the best!!!
