If you don't need a big can that is going to sit on the shelf half used for the rest of your natural life, look up the NOCO NCP2 MC101 kit at both Walmart and Amazon for slightly less, and comes with pads.
Or even those red and green pads and a dollop of Vaseline all over the post and connector, works perfectly as well.
Perfectly fine, its acts as an anti corrosion/anti cease with good conduction so it's good to go. No reason to spend on the massive can.

Ive always had good luck with vaseline on battery posts. Any reason not to just do that?

This is only for the protector, no cleaner included at this price.

Never knew about the Vaseline. Do you just apply over the connectors?

Yep and around the terminals, etc. Just a medium/light coating (or else in high temps, it will liquify and spread and collect dirt)

At first I was like "Why is this dumb crap on SD?". Then I realized I need some, so ordered one for the ole golf cart.

That works, but WD40 works just as well, and a lot less messy. Been using it for over 40 years and never had corrosion yet.

i just use silicon spray, along with other plastic surfaces, around spark plugs, electrical connections and sparingly on coolant hoses. never had an issue and keeps everything shiny, clean - not oily so woudn't attract dust and grime too.

Another ripoff product for people who don't know any better. Just use petroleum jelly,or WD-40.
