9" is a bit small if using these for cooking. Handle can get hot. Go for at least 12"

Nice tongs, but over time with enough dishwashing cycles the plastic on the "hook" side degrades, leaving sharp -ish metal. I've had multiple pairs do that now. Worth $5 though.
