As it does for just about any modern TV. You are definitely minority of those liking shields 'AI' upscaling... which IMHO, it's for the dogs (sorry furry canines)
Actually when it comes to any form of HDR(4k) you have it backwards.
Current commercial displays cannot take full advantage of it.
Then there is tone mapping and the processing of the content.
Which brings in the quality of your content & equipment.
I got 1300 from them .
Greentoe is offering the same price for just the tv. I'd rather just get a cheaper price w/o the camera.

Waiting for C3 to get to this price.
How is this TV v/s 65" LG QNED 80 on deal with almost half the price?
Waiting for C3 to get to this price.
Most things don't use 120hz but it doesn't matter if it's shot in 60fps or 24fps cause it will be split in the increment of the multiplicative of what the source content is but up to 120hz
He must not be a gamer so I understand why refresh rates are still new for people to comprehend but it's ALWAYS using higher refresh rate since it has variable refresh like most of their tvs besides the A series which is locked up 60hz
You can't compare different tvs types in regards to panel types which is a flaw on your comment since oled has different capabilities versus LCD or plasma or CRT but since you didn't specify what the criticism is with this then sadly you got the mob coming after you from not clarifying
I will partially agree that many people don't even know or care about 4k vs 1080p still heck I think my brother in law can't tell the difference so it is still subjective on how much people care about picture quality or off they just want a large flat screen these days for cheap; this TV isn't a one size fits all kinds of tv but at least it shows us the trends of it being cheaper than many years ago
Except most of my video games 🙄

This is a great TV but just to play the devils advocate on 120hz gaming. Most AAA will struggle to run at 60 on modern consoles. Theres only a handful of very basic 2d games or esports titles that will run at 120 on a console. PC gaming works better on a monitor for a variety of reasons which is another debate. Maybe the next gen of consoles will be able to do 4K/120 without fidelity compromise.
