I bought this a while ago and there were some issues getting straight cuts. it would always veer off to the right . I ended up getting a m18 saw

Both the more serious (stopping to charge sucks and you get more torque/lifespan ) and the more seldom (I have to wait for this to charge, where's the charger?) but a lot of people do like the battery powered tools too...

Bought this a while back and had similar issues to the first poster. It would not cut straight despite use of a straight edge. Turns out the base plate was not parallel to the blade and there's no adjustment to change that. Would not recommend. People talk about Makita saws being the best, looked at their hypoid gear one, magnesium body one (both corded) and they were MUCH heavier than this. Ended up getting a Ryobi HP 7 1/4 in cordless saw and it seems to work well so far and weight is much more manageable.
