I received my phone yesterday and cancelled my ATT service with no issue today. They waived the activation fee since I was within the 3 day window. I already had ATT service, so I just popped out my simcard and put it in this phone, worked instantly. All in all, I paid exactly $0 for a new phone that I desperately needed. I am so thankful to the poster for posting this, I've needed a new phone for about a year, just haven't been able to afford a new one that would actually work. Moving from a OnePlus 7 Pro to the OnePlus Nord 30N 5G I do notice a lot of differences. The 7 Pro is somehow still much faster even though it is a few years old, I needed to switch because the battery dying nearly instantly if it isn't plugged in. All in all I am happy with the new phone and am so glad I was able to get this Slickdeals, thank you @gadgetNerd for posting!

It was a tracfone number not GV. Before chat/call the line is already suspended/out of contract. Chat to cancel and had hard time, the CS asked which number you called for the porting desk etc. Assumed if no call will get cancelled too.
Had a GV line without unlock on order but the best buy order will only stuck at no sim activated, so cancelled that order. Maybe I should not.

I cancelled within 72 hours. This is the comment I got from chat...

I understand that you're concerned about the charges for the days left unused in the bill cycle. As per terms of service, the final month's charges are not prorated. Customers do not receive prorated credits for mid-cycle cancellations. AT&T default is to make cancellations effective the last day of the bill cycle and customers will be charged through end of the bill cycle. Please let me if you want to cancel the line effective today or by the end of this current bill cycle.

Hope I don't get charged a full month!

Me too. I got duped into buying a Moto G 5G and it's the worst phone I've owned in awhile, it takes years to charge and is slow as a snail. A superior $0 phone will make up for it

Phone is not ready. I am not sure if ATT created account for me or not.
Worst of the headaches without any phone coming to my way...

How can I cancel my account with ATT? I am not even sure if they got me enrolled but I got a confirm email, email from them.

Cancelled over chat. Pretty smooth. Told her I'm in a rush for a meeting.. and said thanks a few times while staying on point. Being clear and polite always helps!

Got an email immediately with subject "AT&T online profile update" ,
Wireless number .... No longer associated with profile.

Job done. Phone still in UPS system on the way, to be delivered Thu Mar 7.
Don't wait till phone gets to you...

Yeah, that's standard cancellation in the mid of billing cycle. The policy applicable here is the buyers remorse policy of cancelling service within 3 days which I linked in the wiki. Please mention it if you get with surprise charges. Note that activation fee can be voided immediately following instructions in the wiki.

See the wiki. Setting up an account is the way to go before cancelling it.
