I'd like one of each... at this rate I think these might drop lower, they must have made a ton of these. I'm loving my Miami blue SSS I got for this price as my first guitar. Hoping for an HSS deal at a lower price.

I second looking forward to the HSS deal. Missed the deal on the dark knight one that was buried at the bottom of a post.
Mine is exactly like the one in the FP, it's my new go-to SSS strat. Absolutely love it! Bought for practically the same price from MF about a year ago. Neck is so sexy! I have an elite also and this one feels so much better. Not only that it stays in tune perfectly, not sure how as there's no locking bridge/nut/tuners and the bridge floats. Thought about decking it and getting locking tuners but I really don't wanna mess with it, factory setting is perfect. If you're in the market for a strat don't think twice about this one.
Finally we're at the pre COVID pricing. I sat on the lake placid blue fender pro at 999.99 on the regular. I missed out when they discontinued the pro then prices went insane. I swore if they ever came back I'd jump on one, but I recently got a great deal on a Les Paul classic, and can't justify this right now.
Gonna have to sell some unused guitars and grab that maple board surf green.
Loved the dark knight with rosewood HSS. I couldn't help myself a month or so ago when they posted that one. At first I thought that the corner of the rosewood fretboard had a defect. Found out whatever they finished the neck with, they sprayed it up the sides of the fretboard, and then there's an awkward corner where the coat ends from the side of the fretboard to the top. Looks kinda gnarly at first, but once I looked at it with a USB microscope and figured out what it was, I was ok with it. Looks like it kinda wore off after a couple weeks of playing. Doesn't bother me or affect playing.
They definitely manually work the fret ends, you can see all the rough file marks at the ends, and then they kinda gouged the fretboard on every fret as they curled the file around each fret end. Up close under the microscope it's not the best looking. Definitely not hot dog / rounded fret ends that a lot of the Chinese guitars are doing these days (and I doubt they're stainless steel like you get on a lot of those, too), but it plays and feels well. No sharp fret ends, very comfortable to play. The tops of the frets are so polished, you can't see a single defect, just shine.
At the end of the day, it's an American Fender with a ton of character. The tones are good. I haven't really read exactly which positions activate which pickups, and what the push push is supposed to do for each position, but I kinda flip through the positions and like the different sounds. You can get some nice twangy sounds from the single coils with a little bit of overdrive, and the bridge sounds awesome with distortion and reverb or delay.
My only complaint about the guitar is it's a little heavier than my last strat. It's fine once it's on my lap but I'm pretty sure there was a problem with their swamp ash supply recently so they went to alder. I love it even still. But if it were a couple pounds lighter you couldn't pull this guitar away from me.

@iconian if there happens to be a deal coming on a Johnny Marr Jaguar, that would make my decision for me!
