Sound is fine and also phone calls but the problem that I face is that even when I stop using them and put them back inside the charging case, the phone (Pixel 6) keeps playing on the earbuds and not on the speaker. I have to turn off the Bluetooth on my phone!
Have you tried cleaning them and then covering them with your finger to see if they're working at all?
Keep in mind, those sensors don't work unless they're basically making contact with your ear, so skin oils are enough to trigger false positives.
There also might be some firmware updates for this model.

The discussion at the time is the left one is prone to dying. Knock on wood.

I assume you can use these independently, so both buds should have the same hardware in them?
If it does happen, you can try the same trick that had to be done with some of the higher end buds and bump charge them. This just involves taking the bud out and putting it back in repeatedly for it to sip off that initial bit of power before the charge controller has a chance to check the battery and decide whether it needs to keep charging.

I've used them on average 2-3 hours a week for... six months or more now? That's factoring for not using then a few weeks and then using them to to marathon binge movies when the gf was sick and I didn't want to disturb her. I have also dropped them on concrete and stepped on one or both of them, no visible damage and still work great.
I don't want to mislead anyone on the absolute quality of these, but with what premium BT earbuds go for I think these are perfect to take with you when you are afraid to lose your premium set.
EDIT thank you for the bump charge idea! I will try it if mine ever act up.
Great headphones , I use them at the gym, golf course etc. Probably 7-8 hours a week and for the money and sound quality not much to worry about even if you lose one like i did. Honestly considering buying another set now as a backup
I do have a question about their connectivity:
- Do these require manually disconnecting from the currently connected device to connect to another device?
With my old Airpods, for example, I could just toggle BT on another device, and, so long as they had been paired with it, they would switch over. Was super convenient. "Upgraded" to Sonys and was very bummed when I realized they require me juggling multiple devices and digging in settings just to switch between them.

And if you absolutely must use wireless accessories, turn on the radio when using them....then turn it off afterwards. No reason to leave the front door open when you're not home.
