I am also debating 65" G3 vs 65" C3 except I'd be upgrading from a 10+ year old LG LCD. This C3 and upcoming G4/C4 models won't have a ATSC 3.0 tuner and who knows when LG will add such tuners back into their products due to legal issues. So G3 is one of the last models that will have the tuner. Along with getting MLA, I'm leaning towards holding out for a G3.

RE: The warranty point - just make sure to buy the TV with an extended warranty coverage. Most give you at least an additional one year of coverage with no added cost.
