The PSU is aequate to power the current configuration. Why you wanna swap it right now? When you're planning to upgrade the CPU or GPU or both, then consier upgrading the PSU.

Yes. 4070 GPU peak is 200W and 7700 CPU peak is 90W, for ~300W peak. I'd estimate 400W at the max possible load (all out on CPU, GPU, NVMe, 100% fan speed, USB peripherals, etc).

The CPU is highly efficient and the 4070 isn't power hungry either. The PSU included is enough for this config.

From what I know, Lenovo doesn't use non-standard parts. Here are the official specs, although I'm not sure they answer your question: https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/L...90UX000BUS

It does not have any custom parts and you can replace any of the parts with after-market alternatives.

yeah good point. Is the 500 enough to power the system as is under full load?

Yeah I think the recommended minimum PSU for the 4070 is 550w. 500 would probably be okay.. But I am not a fan of the PSU. I'd probably go 650 personally.

Yes, it does. As I mentioned earlier, all components are standard in this Desktop.

Tempting with the $100 off $750 amex offer I have.
What a shame that the PSU seems pretty meh.

The whole system comes with warranty on it, so I wouldn't worry about it in the short term. I'm sure it's fine; not ideal, but fine.
