Great deals, but I'm not buying anywhere except Costco from now on. Too easy to get burned on crappy or faulty products.

Based on comments in a previous thread, The Q is more budget friendly while it is newer. Lot's of helpful info in that thread. Some scary comments about receiving defective units as well.

Mopping isn't worth it really until you go much higher in price. Spinning, raising mop, with auto wash and fill is nice. The dragging self filled mops are not really worth the trouble.

How is the mopping on these? E.g., how wet does the floor get and does it actually get it clean? Like in the kitchen where there might be some grease?

Just received my S8 Pro Ultra yesterday and I fully recommend Roborock refurbished items. The box said refurbished but the dock looked brand new, still had a bunch of plastic on it. I couldn't see anywhere on the dock that would indicate it had ever been used. The robot itself had one wheel that had some signs of use (little bit of dirt/etc) but the other one looked like it was brand new - maybe they just replaced one wheel? Aside from the one wheel the rest of the robot looked brand new. I ran it a bunch last night and it worked perfectly and I'm ecstatic about how good this thing works.

Also just a heads up to anyone who might be wondering, they say you're supposed to have 1.5' of clearance on the left and right side of the dock but I have 0 clearance on the right side of it and it's working totally fine. No issues getting into the dock.

Purchased a Q5+ as my first robo vacuum and it arrived completely new with no usage history according to the app. I was close to buying a Q7 Max+ or the S8, but a lot of the reviews on here and on RTINGs noted that the mopping features only get much better on the higher end models. Plus the auto empty dock seemed like a no brainer.

Setup for the Q5+ was easy and mapping out my house was done in no time. First run and it cleaned up my place as well as a normal vacuum. I can see why people rave about a good robot vacuum. Definitely make sure there's no cables around as I've heard horror stories of these things eating them up.

Just got my white S8 pro ultra one today and I can confirm, everything looks absolutely brand new. Super pleased. Probably why they stopped selling it, they ran out of the ones that are actually refurbished. Haven't had a chance to fire it up to confirm cause it's a gift

Mine mapped half the house and then seems to have died, said the battery was at 54% - I have it in the base and the LED is blinking on the base, but no response from the actual vac. Got the Q5+

S7 max arrived DOA. Error code 155 every two minutes. Can't upgrade firmware even tho battery shows 90% but app says can't update because it's below 20. Reset multiple times. Piece of shit.

I just got mine, and...it was used not refurbished just used. The dirt from the last user was still in the dirt bag. The dirty water tank was still wet and stunk. The vacuum was covered in water when I pulled it out. I'm disappointed.

I am getting nervous with all these negative experiences. It seems really hit or miss. Some people are like brand new and others used and or broken. My S7 is supposed to be here later today.

I messaged them last night and they got back to me already by morning. They just want some info and said they will replace my unit. They seem pretty good for support, its to bad the quality control going out was not better so they would of picked up the problem before shipping it to me.
