Can they be used outdoors, like on a patio?

Have white ones from about 5 to 6 years ago. Just starting to see some rust on bottom of legs.

Do you leave this out year round, and if so, do you cover it up when not in use? I've been keeping lightweight patio chairs and a plastic folding table in the garage, taking them out only when needed and then putting them away. If this won't rust and can withstand a bit of wind, I might get that and leave it out.

It's been out throughout, just not in direct rain.

Ah, ours would be in the rain and snow. We have a closed in courtyard with a patio, but no roof or overhang over it. So probably would still need to cover it/take it in.

Does 17" high seem short for a side table?

How easily do these get knocked over by moderate wind?
