Great price for 10mg gummies, especially if you cut them up into smaller chunks like I do

Unless you are anemic men and post menopausal women should NOT take iron supplements.

Not sure how I'm supposed to chew through iron without breaking my teeth.

You take a course of gummy calcium supplements, beforehand.

Or pregnant, anyone that goes through dialysis/any type of blood transfusions (including donors), almost anyone that has most types of cancers, vegetarians, almost everyone with a gastrointestinal disorder, anyone taking one or more of the numerous iron-depleting medications available, people that go to the gym and work out heavily....

the list goes on and on.

Calcium inhibits iron absorption so they shouldn't be taken together for best results.

Everything you listed leads to anemia. Go back and read my post.

Your 4 year old should definitely not be taking iron supplements without a doctor's approval.

Non heme iron is not more toxic than heme iron. It's actually less toxic as it's less likely to be absorbed thereby less likely to lead to iron overdoses. Heme iron is the one associated with higher rates of cancer, heart disease and metabolic syndrome.

It's standard guidance on providing children mineral supplements. A simple internet search will corroborate exactly what I'm saying. That being said, I don't care what you do to your child.
