That glue gun is my favorite. Cordless really opens up the gluing possibilities.
Agreed, I LOOOOVE not having a cord hanging off the table anymore which I trip over 100% of the time and send a flaming hot glue gun flying to hit a few random things and then my leg. The guy who invented that battery powered glue gun should win the Nobel prize and I'm not even CLOSE to kidding!
Follow the instructions given above and that $89 battery becomes free when purchased with a tool.

The tools you have to buy are awful deals for the most part. I'd have to buy the 6 port charger with 2 of the garbage non HP batteries for $228 to get this battery free. That's not even remotely close to a deal. It should be the plain charger.

To be fair non HP aren't too far off whatsoever in terms of how long they last according to non sponsored tests but yeah I get what you mean wanting the HP ones anyway

Last time I did the hack they called me and held the battery for an extra 2 weeks for me, so I had to start going to Home Depot with a disguise.

I tried to get the tool for delivery and the battery for pick up (which I would never pick up) and I got this comment: Please make sure promotional items have the same delivery or pickup options and try again

I haven't noticed any real significant difference. And full disclosure, I've got love goggles on. Even if it took a bit longer, I might not notice and wouldn't really care. Eliminating the cord is such a game-changer. There are so few tools I get that end up being so worth it, I gotta celebrate when I get one!

But yeah, I've had professional/commercial grade glue guns at work that are super expensive and really do heat up very, very quick, and I've had cheap ones at home that took a while. The Ryobi one is about average speed if not a little quicker. It's really not an issue.
