Huh...I'm in my mid 30s, bought it on release, nothing like GTA5 at all
It's extremely fair to compare Saint's Row to GTA. The series was a launch title for the XBox 360, and I've always suspected that it was produced at that time because the PS3 wouldn't have GTA for more than a year after launch, giving gamers a reason to buy the 360.
From Wikipedia:
The game received "favorable" reviews according to the review aggregation website Metacritic.[13] Reviewers likened Saints Row to the Grand Theft Auto series; some felt the game improved upon the gameplay of Grand Theft Auto, but others criticized the game's lack of originality. Steven Embling of play.tm wrote that while the game "isn't going to win any awards for originality", the game's graphics and sound design were "impressive" and "highly commendable".[28] Ryan McCaffrey of GamesRadar+ considered the game a worthy entry into a genre beholden to Grand Theft Auto, praising the game's graphics and use of the Havok engine, but lamenting the Respect system for disrupting story progression.[29] Will Tuttle of GameSpy considered that while not all players would respond positively to the Respect system necessitating mission progression, the Activities "offer some of the game's most memorable sequences".[22] Scott Sharkey of 1UP.com noted that Saints Row removed frustrating elements from previous Grand Theft Auto games, like load times between city sections and combat reliant on auto-aim, but considered its attempts to recreate urban gang culture and satire "so hackneyed that they cast an embarrassing shadow over the whole thing".[30] In Japan, where the game was ported for release on June 21, 2007,[citation needed] Famitsu gave it a score of one nine, two eights, and one nine for a total of 34 out of 40.[17]
Might get thumbs down for asking but anyone getting the bundle and don't want to redeem saints row, can I have it? I claimed it free on epic but wanted to try it out on the steam deck without launching through the epic launcher.

It's funny you probably would get downvoted, but with the amount of complaints on it here, it's also like you're doing people a favor.
Just to tag on to this, I will take a steam key if there's more than one unwanted one.
Note: I had saints row on PS5 (PS+ expired now), the story is awful (if not outright
obnoxious), but the gameplay is decent at worst and even fun more often than not (the insurance scam missions can be extremely annoying because of how randomly vehicles spawn, but those are optional). I went in expecting to play 10 minutes and spent over 10 hours on the game.
It's not bad at all but not going to win any awards either. The game was crushed by the modern reddit review bombing trend though. These kids have no idea how much they are damaging PC gaming as a whole.
SR reboot was free on Epic or Amazon a month or so back. It is clearly not trying to be a sequel to SR 3 (or 4) yet is constantly being judged as one. Everyone wants a reboot to be exactly the same and completely 'fresh' at the same time. Can't have both.
Basically SR 2022 is similar to GTA V (while not taking itself seriously) yet focused much more on gunplay. Another decent comparison would be Just Cause 3, minus the absurdness.
Edit: bunch of angry kids downvoting because I didn't bandwagon the Saints Row hate like their reddit overlords told them was the only patriotic thing to do.
Seriously? You have discussions with your friends and family about Sweet Baby Inc? Sounds like you and that other guy that cared about it should team up and create a website to track this stuff.
Lol yes I really do I try and look out for my friends and family in this crazy world we live in
Nioh 2 is great. Difficult as all hell, but it is very fun to play once you learn how it works. It is very different from the Souls games. But it's extremely worth it at this price.
Saints Row is the opposite of great, it is horrible which is a shame considering how previous series titles like SR3 still hold up as a fun game despite being dated. But it can be your throwaway key in this set.
Just waiting on the Humble bundle email to show up that eventually bring the cost of this to $6. I'm not sure if it's because I've never bought a choice bundle from them before but, by near the end of each of them the last email almost always cuts the price in half.
This also starts additional discounts? I'm considering buying in this month (cause Steam Deck) but I'm also just wondering if I should grab TMNT on sale now.
If I get an additional discount on the sale price though, might be worth it to do both.

The game developing studio closed due to this games poor reception. Why don't you determine the verbiage then.
