However, Super Mario Party is usually one of the games that gets its price slashed to $30 on March 10th as part of Mario Day sales, and used copies of the game go for about $30 on eBay, so the $40 "added value" in the description is more like $30 added value with this timing.

this game hasn't get alot of praises compared to Mario Party Superstar, the second iteration for this gen. Reviewers vastly prefer the 2nd one.
I for example prefer the second one for being close and fun to Mario Party 1 from N64 imo. Super Mario Party has slow lengthy dull pacings.
Speak for myself obviously but The naming in convention is stupidly confusing for the masses that Nintendo stupidly wanted to protect it IP.
Super Mario Party
Mario Party Superstar
Nintendo says "No such thing as bad first party game", said them. "Make it $60 365 days per year!". Eye rolls….

Nintendo's price control on their first-party Switch games and accessories has been ridiculous for the past seven years. Most of my Switch library has been bought used either through eBay or GameStop (which come with their own risks) a few years after release and even then the first-party games ran $25-30 each.
