Agreed, price on the 760 is nice. $225+tax free ship is pretty great and this is plenty for many users.

I have both. The Onkyo has slightly better power output, far better GUI, and web console configuration that makes it super easy to setup. The Denon has better sound quality for music, but lower volume output, and CEC handling isn't great (turn it off).

If you need more wattage output, go with the Onkyo if there is a deal at Costco (easy to return). If you want bang for the buck, the Denon at this price is hard to beat. I picked up a refurb during the last sale at $209, and it came well packaged, but the front display did have a few scratches, but the unit itself worked fine. YMMV when it comes to the condition of the refurbished unit, but I'll take a few scratches to get the deal.

For anyone who has just purchased prior to this promo...
.I had too. Call customer support and tell them you'd like the difference credited...or you can just return and re-buy with the code. They did if for me, but my order was placed yesterday and still not shipped.

Its a nice piece if you're going for the full Atmos setup with the multiple fronts/overheads or if you need the pre-outs. If not the 2800H is pretty stout.

It's been lower($800) brand new but who knows if or when that price will pop up again though.

If you don't need Dirac option, the 3700 for $750 might be a good option also.

When does one need pre outs?

How does this compare to the Onkyo TX-NR6050? Besides being brand new is there any reason the Onkyo is worth $75 more? Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I've heard about Onkyo failure rates, a refurbished Denon might be more reliable than an a new Onkyo.

I know this is a weird request, but can this do audio out via Bluetooth headphones? I have a Bluetooth adapter for the headphone jack but would prefer not to have to use it.

Can I buy two of the Home 150 HEOS speakers and use them as wireless rears in Zone 1, while going wired for the fronts and center speakers? Or do I have to use these only as a Zone 2 stereo option?

Edit: I found this answer from Denon, but does that mean I can use them for Zone 2 while having my directly connected 5.1 setup on Zone 1? I'm confused in what way I can take advantage of a 2nd room and wireless HEOS speaker(s).

A: Hello, The Home 150 (as with the rest of Home Series speakers) can only be used to receive a 2 channel audio feed. They do not receive a discrete surround channel encoding, and therefore cannot be used as part of the surround sound speaker set-up.
