Impressive. Here's hoping for a good clearance price on the Gen 2.

Maybe this link would be better:

Is the battery kind of small for being an 80volt system?

I have the older model of this and some 2AH 80v batteries. You can mow a shocking amount with 2ah...but you absolutely cannot blow that many leaves, the blower eats batteries faster than any other tool I think.

That said, I would take two 2ah batteries over a 4ah, this thing is HEAVY.

Need to buy a decent leaf blower for home and I saw this on Amazon. Could anyone provide inputs if it's worth the price Greenworks 48V (2 x 24V) Cordless Brushless Axial Leaf Blower (140 MPH / 585 CFM / 125+ Compatible Tools), (2) 4.0Ah Batteries and Dual Port Rapid Charger Included https://a.co/d/0Ftu1yR

I second this.

The chainsaw is a close second for me. But it's a different type of task. So, actual use time is probably similar. I too, like having multiple batteries. It allows you break times to get a drink during activities while you swap batteries out.

Plus if it ever goes bad you have a spare to work with until you find a deal on a new one.

Anyone have experience with both greenworks and EGO tools? Curious to hear how they compare.

Stick to 1 battery size and go from there. If you feel like the 48 is what you'll buy most of your tools in, then go for it? I went with 80 because I felt that it had the best options for what I wanted.

You might want one that blows a little bit stronger. But remember to pick a lineup and play on that team only. Unless you like having batteries for just one tool only.

I have Greenworks but have briefly used Ego too for mowing. I liked my Greenworks better than the ego. 56 battery on Ego was fairly bulky compared to Greenworks. So hand tools might be more cumbersome.

Interesting... I have a bunch of EGO stuff but it's sooo expensive. Never tried the Greenworks but kinda want to.

Yeah, none of them are super cheap. But can usually find good deals around each spring summer holiday. I saw my local Walmart had Greenworks tools now. Think it was the 60 lineup though. So deals might be found during end of season sales if you have one that product moves slowly or overstocked.

I have both and honestly, my older Greenworks 80V works better than the 56V EGO - at least the mower. I'm sure the higher voltage probably helps output more power. Batteries are cheaper as well. I'll probably just sell off my EGO tool and go full Greenworks 80V.

Be sure to register for the 8 year battery warranty from Costco. That alone sweetens the deal. I have a bunch of 80V GW tools, they are middle of the road in quality, I can't compare them to EGO (never owned any). The batteries are the expensive consumable item, and the 8 year warranty is important.

I haven't used the Greenworks, but I've gotten quite a few of the Ego tools. After doing my research, I went with Ego for the 56V system. I don't have to worry about the 40V or 80V variants, if it's Ego, I know the battery is the same, and the performance so far has been fantastic!
